The Institute of Internet Economics conducts research, measurement, and public education on the growth, structure, and impact of the internet and related digital industries.
Our work combines mathematics, economics, and the humanities to help people better understand how digital transformation is reshaping economies, societies, culture, and daily life. Through statistical frameworks, country and regional profiles, comparative indexes, Internet GDP (IGDP) estimates, and accessible educational writing, we make the internet more measurable, understandable, and accountable in the public interest.
We believe knowledge should help people. Our mission is not only to measure the size and influence of the internet, but also to help others use that understanding to improve lives, expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and contribute to positive change in the world.
